Join Stacey Martin, our lead author for 7-10 Science, for a deep dive into how visual models in the Science classroom can transform abstract concepts into clear, concrete understanding.

By joining this session, you will

  • understand the importance of visual models in Science education and how they can transform abstract concepts into tangible understanding.
  • look at strategies for effectively using models to enhance student engagement, comprehension, and retention in Science.
  • recognise the limitations of models and how to teach students to critically analyse and evaluate them.
  • explore activities that incorporate scientific models to reinforce learning across different scales and contexts. (Teaching strategies 1.2, 2.1, and 3.3 )

This session is targeted at junior secondary Science teachers, and is open to all teachers. You do not need to be using Edrolo to get practical, ready-to-go ideas and resources for your Science class. Participants will receive a certificate of participation aligned to the Teacher Standards.
